The Host

Sean is a father of three who balances work, family and running.  He started his running journey back in the summer of 2013 with some local 5 & 10k’s and then adding his first half marathon in 2014.  Sean started to really embrace “the Long” run  and in the spring of 2015 ran his first 26.2 at the Buffalo marathon . Since then he has ran a total of 3 marathons and attempted his first trail ultra 50k which resulted in a frustrating DNF. With his love for trails and determination to complete his first ultra, Sean will be attempting his second 50k trail race in November of 2016.

One half of the Zdon brothers, Glen started running as a way to undo years of bad eating and alcohol use. After losing almost 50lbs, Glen fell in love with the sport. He has run 5 marathons since 2013 and is looking to add Ultra distances to his running resume.

Glen is a proud father to 2 and is a registered nurse at the #1 trauma center in Buffalo, N.Y.
What keeps him going? The answer is simple, “running makes me a better husband, father and person, why would I not want that?”

The other half of the Zdon brother duo, Bill began running in 2012 at the age of 29 with the goal of losing weight before his wedding. Within no time he fell in love with the sport of running

and the science behind it. “Boston or bust” are the words he’s been quoted with. Qualifying for the Boston Marathon ranks up there as one of his bucket list items and he continues his march toward it with 2 marathons approaching in 2016.

“Running has provided me the discipline, structure, ambition, confidence and drive I’ve always seeked in my life and it only took 29 years to find it. The way I see it, I am not in competition with anyone else but my former self and my former times.”
